Level 2 EV Charger Features & Highlights

Universal Charging
Charge any EV or PHEV vehicle you want with EvoCharge charging stations. EvoCharge utilizes the SAE J1772 plug connector—the North American standard for electric vehicle charging. Drive a Tesla? Although Tesla uses a proprietary plug connector, a Tesla provided adaptor makes connecting to the J1772 plug simple.

Certifications
Certified so you can charge with confidence. UL listed and OSHA/ADA compliant so you can offer safe and fast charging no matter your installation location. Add-on EvoCharge cable management for a clean, safe and accessible charging experience. Each unit is NEMA 4 rated, protecting your charger from dirt, dust, rain, sleet, snow, direct water blasts and ice formation.
The National Electrical Manufacturer Association (NEMA) is a standard rating that defines the type of environments for electrical enclosures. NEMA 4 provides a distinct advantage compared to other IP rated enclosures.

Installation
EvoCharge units will need a dedicated 40A circuit for each charger, which can be set to a max 32A, 30A, or 20A draw. There are exceptions to this if you are utilizing Local Load Management. Units also require 208-240VAC single phase power, which is also a common type of electrical connection used for laundry dryers in North America. Installation by a licensed electrician is recommended.
EVSE and iEVSE units also offer two different types of power connections, plug-in or hardwired. EvoCharge uses the three prong NEMA-6-50 plug to provide power. There are many different styles of NEMA plugs on the market and they vary based on amperage and voltage. They may look similar but have different shapes, widths, orientations etc. so be sure to check your outlets for correct fitment or consult an electrician. If hardwire is desired a licensed electrician may remove the plug. View full installation instructions.

Charger Status
Indicator lights are important to show the readiness and charging status, so the user is never confused about the process. The indicator light color represents status so you always know if charging is taking place or if there are any disruptions to be aware of. View our charging status indicator guide for more information.
